The Dover, N.H.-based, iWorx Systems Inc., has launched iWorx Systems India Pvt. Ltd. to develop and market data acquisition hardware, software and systems for the Indian physiology and pharmacology educational and research markets.

"The Indian government is addressing a critical shortage of health professionals in their country by streamlining their bureaucratic processes to enable a rapid increase in the number of medical teaching facilities. These facilities will require equipment to train India's future physicians; iWorx India will be staffed with sales and technical support personnel to serve the important geographic segments of India," said William P. Mitchell, iWorx Systems president and CEO.

In addition to focusing on the Indian market, iWorx India, which will be run out of Mumbai, will serve as the company's Southeast Asian headquarters focusing on markets in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
