Boston is known as a premier sports town with the professional teams in football, baseball, hockey and basketball all having great success in recent years and flowering passionate and large fan bases. However, Shubha Ramesh Kumar, owner and manager of the new restaurant and bar Hit Wicket in Inman Square in Cambridge, Mass., believes that Boston has an avid cricket fan base, as well, and her new sports bar is going to be just the place for them to come and catch all the best cricketing action.

 As a restaurateur, Ram Kadariya certainly takes chances to grow his business. Four years ago he took a chance in adding Himalayan-style menu items to his Mr. India restaurant in Newburyport, Mass., and the rare cuisine drew raves and business. This spring, he took a chance and moved his successful restaurant from the location it had been in for more than 13 years to a new location in town in the heart of classic Newburyport center. While his old customers had little trouble getting used to the new location, the increased visibility in a foot-traffic-heavy area is adding new clientele.

One might not think that the Rehoboth/Attleboro line would be a hot site for a new Indian restaurant, as that region of Massachusetts is not exactly know for its diverse dining fare, but Apna Punjab co-owner and manager Jatinder Vij felt that made it exactly the right place to cook up some Indian cuisine.

 It was a nice Sunday evening so my wife and I decided to eat out. We were told that Masala Art, an Indian cuisine restaurant in Needham, Mass., was doing something different. So I decided to read its reviews — I must admit the reviews were mixed — while some found the service and food up to their standards, others were a little skeptical. Some found the food less than stellar, but others argued that the ambience and service was unparalleled.
